Winnipeg Police say that a male was assaulted over the noon hour at Glenlawn Collegiate on Wednesday, April 4, 2018.

An physical altercation broke out between two male students just outside the school. One of the males stabbed the other in the upper body according to police.

The victim was taken to hospital with one stab wound, treated and released

Police have arrested the second 16 year old male involved in the fight. He was also hurt in the confrontation but only suffered minor injuries. Police have charged him with Assault with a Weapon and Possess Weapon. He was released on a promise to appear.
