The driver of a semi-truck was taken to hospital for observation after he lost control of his rig while exiting the Perimeter Highway onto Pembina Highway.
The incident happened minutes before noon on April 25, 2023. Officials say that the rig failed to navigate the turn and rolled onto its side in the grassy area off the roadway.
Firefighters remained on the scene for several hours. An emergency recovery team took over in the mid-afternoon and used three heavy lift tow trucks it upright the toppled vehicle.
The Perimeter Highway on and off ramps on the northwest side of Pembina Highway was shut down until the wreckage was removed in the early evening.
