RCMP say that an extremely close call between a semi-truck and an SUV happened Friday afternoon, January 14, 2022.
According to police the incident occurred at the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 16 just west of Portage la Prairie.
The SUV was crossing Highway 1 at a controlled intersection and had the green light. Just as the vehicle cleared a semi-truck came through the red light narrowly missing the van.
RCMP pulled the drive of the semi over and issued for disobeying a traffic control device.
