Selkirk RCMP says that the suspect in a sexual assault at a Main Street business has been arrested after police distributed his image to media outlets and posted it on their social media channels.
Police say that around 1:00 pm on Friday, November 6, 2020, a male walked into a Main Street business, cornered a female employee and exposed himself. He then grabbed the female as she tried to flee and sexually assaulted her before leaving the business.
RCMP distributed a surveillance image of the man entering the business.
A 36-year-old male was charged for his alleged involvement in the incident and will be charged with Sexual Assault, Forcible Confinement and Committing an Indecent Act.
