A 17-year-old male student is expected to face charges after he was caught with a firearm and ammunition in his backpack.
RCMP received a report of a student with a gun earlier today, October 16, 2018, at Lord Selkirk Regional Comprehensive Secondary School.
Police say the school was placed on lockdown during the incident.
The suspect was taken into custody and officers seized the firearm and ammunition.
No one was hurt during the incident.
RCMP continue to investigate.
