Selkirk RCMP Arrest Suspect in Series of Armed Robberies

After a series of armed robberies that took place between August 31, 2023, and September 15, 2023, the Selkirk RCMP have successfully apprehended the suspect responsible for the crimes. The five robberies occurred at two local businesses, where a male suspect, with his face covered, brandished a knife and demanded money.

The Selkirk RCMP General Investigation Section conducted a thorough investigation, which included obtaining witness statements, reviewing video surveillance, following up on tips, and sending items to the lab for analysis. After an extensive and detailed investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect.

On July 27, 2024, Dylan Rogers, 27, of Selkirk, was arrested without incident. He has been charged with five counts of Robbery with a Weapon, five counts of Disguised with Intent to Commit an Offence, five counts of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and Uttering Threats. Rogers has been remanded into custody.

The Selkirk RCMP continue to encourage anyone with additional information related to these incidents to come forward.
