Selkirk man facing break and enter charges

A 26-year-old Selkirk male is facing a number of charges following a break and enter incident in the RM of St. Andrews.

Around 6:50 am on Sunday, April 24, 2022, the suspect allegedly attempted to break into a home but was not successful. The suspect then moved to the detached garage and made his way inside. shortly afterwards the homeowner spotted the male fleeing on foot.

When RCMP officers arrived on the scene they determined that the suspect may be at a business across the street from the residence. A search of the business found the suspect inside a bathroom.

Officers took the male into custody.

Jordan Blahitka has been charged for his alleged involvement with Breaking and Entering with intent, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and three counts of Fail to Comply.

He was detained in custody.
