An early morning fire on Selkirk Avenue is under investigation say fire officials.
Emergency response crews were called to an active blaze just before 4:30 am on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.
When firefighters arrived on scene they were met with a fully involved home and detached garage.
An offensive attack was undertaken and the fire was under control just before 6:00 am.
No injuries were reported and the residents had gotten out of the home before fire crews arrived.
Selkirk Avenue was closed in the area while crews worked and has reopened but due to the amount of water that spilt onto the street and freezing temperatures the roadway is now covered in ice. City crews are applying sand and other de-icing agents to improve traction.
