Security officers at an Empress Street store were threatened with a handgun as a person who had robbed the store was attempting to flee.

Police say that after the robbery occurred on Saturday, November 27, 2021, security from the store confronted the suspect outside the store. A second male got out of a nearby vehicle brandishing a handgun and threatened the guard. Both suspects then fled in the vehicle.

Police say no injuries were reported.
