Winnipeg Police are investigating an assault that happened Wednesday night, September 23, 2020, on Kate Street near William Avenue.
Local residents tell News 4 that the victim was an adult male and he appeared to have been stabbed by a male on a bike.
The male was taken to hospital in critical condition according to police.
On Tuesday, September 22, 2020, another person was assaulted less than a block away over the noon hour. The victim in that incident, an adult female, was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Officers were in the area on Thursday morning talking to area residents about the assaults
Members of the Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation.
