Winnipeg Police homicide investigators are asking for help to find the second suspect in the killing of 29-year-old Mohamed Mohiadin Ahmed.
Ahmed’s body was found in the Red River near Churchill Drive and Hay Street on October 12, 2020.
Police began an investigation and determined that Ahmed had been murdered a few days before his body was discovered at a home in the Fort Garry area.
In mid January, 2021, police asked for help locating a suspect in the case. Jesse James Daher, age 28, is still wanted by police.
The second suspect’s identity was released on February 10, 2021. Evan Daniel Bill Brightnose-Baker, age 21 from Winnipeg is wanted on Second Degree Murder charges.
Brightnose-Baker is described as 5’5″ tall, about 126 lbs with a medium build. He has brown eyes and black hair.
Both Brightnose-Baker and Daher are wanted on Canada-wide warrants. Police caution that neither male should be approached.
