A second fire in as many days has hit Manitoba Avenue. This time the fire was on the back porch of a home in the 600 block of Manitoba just a short distance away from where a fire on Tuesday destroyed a duplex.
Fire officials say that the fire started just after 2:30 am on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. Six people in the home were able to get out safely before firefighters arrived.
The fire was quickly put out and appears to have been limited to the porch area.
The fire is under investigation and there are no estimates of the damage caused.
