Second fire in William Avenue house within two weeks

For the second time in two weeks, firefighters were called to battle a fire in a three-storey, multi-family home that was left vacant after a fire on May 9, 2021.

Just after 7:00 pm on Saturday May 22, 2021, emergency crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the structure. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was declared under control at 7:40 pm.

The building suffered extensive smoke, fire and water damage.

A search of the housed found no one inside and no injuries were reported.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
