Second dose COVID-19 vaccine eligibility expands

Manitoba has once again expanded eligibility to book second dose appointments for COVID-19 vaccines.

Anyone who has received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine on or before May 10 can now book their second dose.

All Indigenous people in Manitoba and individuals with specific health concerns are also eligible to receive their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

All Manitobans aged 12 and over are eligible for their first dose of vaccine.

To book an appointment for a first or second dose you can either go online at https://protectmb.ca or call 1-844-626-8222.

As of June 13, 2021, the province has administered 1,045,956 doses of vaccine in the battle against COVID-19

The Leila super site in Winnipeg will be accepting walk-in appointments this week at the following times:

  • June 15 from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.,
  • June 16 from 1 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., and
  • June 17 from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. 

Anyone who is fully vaccinated can now request a digital or physical immunization card at: https://manitoba.ca/covid19/vaccine/immunization-record.html#immunization-cards
