Winnipeg Police have arrested a 24-year-old male in connection to the killing of Kyle Allan Malanchuk on August 22, 2019.
Police say that the victim had been fatally shot in the upper body after he and the accused were socializing with partygoers at a Prichard Avenue home. Police say that at some point a firearm was discharged near the victim by the suspect.

When police arrived on scene they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. he was transported to hospital but died shortly afterwards.
Investigators identified the suspect and issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for Bradley Shawn Thomas for Second Degree Murder, Discharge a Restricted Firearm or a Prohibited Firearm with Intent, Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized and three counts of Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order.
On Friday August 30, 2019 police took Thomas into custody near Salter Street and Alfred Avenue.
