Winnipeg Police have laid charges in connection to the murder of 27-year-old Christopher Helstrom.
Helstrom had been assaulted in the hallway of an apartment in the 600 block of Flora Avenue on Saturday July 13, 2019.
Police arrested the suspect early Monday morning, July 15, 2019 but did not release the suspects identity pending charges.
46-year-old Philip William Bennett has now been charged for his alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder.
Police say that the victim and the suspect were known to each other.
Helstrom is the 25th murder victim so far in 2019.
