Sears announced on Friday that they will be closing an additional 10 stores across Canada including the store at Polo Park.
The struggling retail chain announced earlier this summer closure of 59 retail outlets including the Garden City location.
This latest round of closures will see about 1200 job losses chain wide but specific numbers of loss in Winnipeg have not been announced.
A date for the Winnipeg closure has not been announced but the retail outlet is expected to start a liquidation sale later this fall.
Sears made no mention of the fate of the stores at Kildonan Place or at St. Vital Mall.
