RCMP in Thompson have seized about 314 grams of Cocaine, 719 grams of Cannabis and more than $20,000.00 in cash as part of an ongoing investigation.
On July 27, 2022, officers executed search warrants at five different locations in the community.
32-year-old Matt Delaronde of Thompson, 25-year-old Teasloach Lual of Edmonton and 26-year-old David Chatkana of Winnipeg were arrested during the search and remanded into custody. The trio face charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Proceeds of Crime for their alleged involvement. All three men are scheduled to appear in court on August 2, 2022
Three other men aged 30,20 and 19 and a 51-year-old woman were released but are scheduled to appear in court on October 28, 2022 in a Thompson court room.
