Manitoba enforcement officers handed out more than twice as many tickets to people breaching COVID-19 restrictions than the week before.
Between April 19 and April 25 a total of 92 warnings and 56 tickets were issued. 39 $1,296 tickets were handed out to individuals and of those 33 were directly related to breached due to gatherings. 17 people were fined $298 for failing to wear a mask in an indoor public place.
On Monday, April 26, 2021 the province tightened restrictions and banned visitors to private residences both inside and out, although there are some exceptions allowed. The premier has vowed to step up enforcement as part of the new measures that extend to May 27.
