Winnipeg’s reduced speed school zones are once again in force around 171 city schools for the next ten months.
Maximum speed limits of 30 km/h around many Winnipeg schools are in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday during the months of September to June inclusive. This includes holidays like Labour Day as well as in-service days when children are not at school.
Enforcement of the reduced zone will be primarily by photo radar but expect to see police also enforcing speeds within the zone.
