All seven of Winnipeg’s school divisions have proactively cancelled bus transportation for Thursday, January 31, 2019.
Due to prolonged periods of extreme weather and the impact on our bus fleet, we are proactively cancelling transportation in Louis Riel School Division on Thursday, January 31, 2019. All schools will be open and classes are scheduled as usual. Buses will not be running.

Even though the buses won’t be running schools will be open and regular classes will continue.
Temperatures in the morning are expected to range between a low of -30 as school starts to -25 later in the day. Windchills will be – 46 in the morning and easing off to -36 by afternoon according to Environment Canada.
Risk of frostbite on exposed skin remains high.
