Saskatoon police say Vogelsang will be charged for July bank robbery

Saskatoon Police confirmed on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, that Steve Vogelsang will be charged for a bank robbery that occurred in their city on July 31, 2017.

Last week police in the Saskatchewan city said Vogelsang was a person of interest in that robbery.

Vogelsang was arrested on October 21, 2017, after he allegedly robbed two Medicine Hat, Alberta banks. As a result of the Alberta arrest, Regina police were able to link Vogelsang to three more robberies in their city.

With the Saskatoon arrest, Vogelsang is now facing charges for six bank robberies that he allegedly committed.

 

 

 

 

 

Vogelsang was a well known Winnipeg personality having started his career here working as a sports reporter and anchor in the early 1990s. Eventually, Vogelsang was promoted to news director of CKY-TV (CTV Winnipeg). After leaving CTV Vogelsang became a journalism instructor at Red River College.
