RCMP have arrested and charged a 25-year-old male in connection to the death of a 10-month-old girl.
Police say that they received a report of an infant in distress on August 11, 2020, in Flin Flon. Police and paramedics located the girl who was unresponsive and pronounced dead.
As the investigation unfolded officers received more information in January 2021, that indicated the injuries the girl sustained were not accidental.
Robert Alexander Bear from Sandy Bay, Saskatchewan was arrested at his home on March 23, 2021, and detained in custody. He has been charged for his alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder.
Police say Bear will be returned to Manitoba to appear in court.
The investigation continues.
