Rossburn Collegiate student arrested with handgun

On Wednesday, March 14, 2018, RCMP in Rossburn arrested a 19-year-old male after images of the student posted to social media showed him in possession of a handgun.

Police say the school was locked-down as a precaution as officers searched for the male suspect. He was located near the school and placed in custody.

Investigators say that a search of the suspect uncovered a CO2 powered replica handgun with ammunition.

Randy Jordan Oudie from Dauphin has been charged for his alleged involvement with Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purposes and Carry Concealed Weapon.

The lock-down at the school was lifted after the arrest. Police say no one was injured during the incident.

The investigation into the incident is continuing and Oudie was detained in custody.
