A rooming house fire on Langside Street broke out just after 5:00 pm Saturday, March 3, 2018.
Flames could be seen shooting out of the building
Two people, a man and a woman, were rescued from the second floor of the structure by firefighters.
The pair were taken to hospital with undetermined injuries, their condition is unknown.
Fire officials say it took several hours to knock out the blaze because of the internal structure of the building. Rooming houses tend to have additional partition walls that are not normally in a home.
There is no estimate of damage and the fire is under investigation.
