RCMP are investigating a rollover on Highway 1 near Falcon Lake that claimed the life of a driver Sunday morning, December 10, 2023.
The rollover happened about eight kilometers east of the village around 6;00 a.m..
Police say that a semi-truck was eastbound with two people on board when it lost control on the highway, hit the ditch and rolled over. Road conditions at the time of the accident were icy.
The 54-year-old driver from Surrey B.C. was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene. The 22-year-old passenger, also from Surrey, suffered minor injuries.
