Robbery Suspect Arrested
Early Sunday morning a man riding his bike over the Slaw Rebchuk Bridge on Salter Street was approached by a man with multiple weapons who demanded the victim hand over his property. The victim refused and was attacked by the suspect, seriously injured and rendered unconscious.
The victim was transported to hospital in unstable condition but later improved to stable.
During the investigation by police the suspect was identified and located a few blocks away on Balmoral and Notre Dame.
Eugene Junior Mason, 19 from Winnipeg has been charged with aggravated assault, including several weapon related offences.
