ROBBERY | MALE BUSTED FOR STRING OF ARMED ROBBERIES

Winnipeg Police have put an end to a crime spree that saw a number of people and businesses robbed at knife point. 

It all began on August 4 in the Balmoral / cumberland area of the city when a man holding a knife assaulted two male victims. The victims suffered non-lifethreatening injuries.

Four days later on August 8 the suspect allegedly stole a Honda Civic from the 400 block of Stella Ave.

On September 5 the suspect robbed bakery in the 1000 block of Keewatin St.. 

The robberies continued when on September 7 the suspect, once again armed with a knife, robbed a bakery in the 700 block of Keewatin St. No injuries were reported.

A few days later on September 10 the suspect, again armed with a knife and this time driving the stolen Honda Civic, robbed a restaurant in the 200 block of Henderson Highway. There were no injuries reported.

Later that morning the suspect, following his pattern, was again armed with a knife and driving the stolen Honda. He attempted to rob a gas bar in the 900 block of Jefferson Avenue, but was unsuccessful.

A few hours later the Honda was crashed into a parked car in the 700 block of Flora Avenue and the driver fled the scene.

At approximately 10:30 am a suspect stole a quantity of cigarettes from a gas bar located in 1000 block of Keewatin Street. Finally, at approximately 7:30 pm the suspect, armed with a knife, robbed a second gas bar located in the 1000 block of Keewatin Street.

 

Police identified the suspect and caught up with him just after midnight on September 11. Kyle Aron Parisian, 22 years old from Winnipeg has been arrested for his alleged involvement in these crimes.

He has been charged with Robbery x 5 and Possess Weapon x 5

Parisian was the subject of 2 separate arrest warrants. 

He was detained in custody.
