Robbery at Knife Point Near Main/Mountain Bus Stop

On the evening of September 8, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a woman in her 40s was the victim of a robbery at knife point while waiting at a bus stop near Main Street and Mountain Avenue. The suspect, described as a stalky Indigenous male around 5’7″ tall with a shaved head and wearing a medical mask, approached the victim from behind and demanded her belongings while brandishing a knife. Fortunately, the victim was not physically harmed during the incident.

The Winnipeg Police Service’s Central Reporting Unit responded to the initial report, and the Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the incident to come forward.
