Winnipeg Police have three suspects in custody after they allegedly robbed two teens near Selkirk Avenue and Salter Street around 3:20 am June 1, 2019.
Police on patrol in the area saw three males assaulting one of the victims. When the suspects spotted the officers they took off. One of the officers chased after the suspects while the other helped the injured victim.
A WPS K-9 unit was able to track the suspects and two of them were taken into custody after being found hiding against a nearby building.
The victim was taken to hospital in unstable condition but stabilized after treatment.
Officers found a second victim but he did not need to be taken to hospital.
The third suspect was located Saturday afternoon around 2:40 pm in the 500 block of Ross Avenue. He was placed under arrest and taken into custody.
Samuel James Custer, 23, Justin Sandy, 20 and Ralph Joseph Chartrand, 18 are facing charges for their alleged involvement of Robbery and two counts of Assault Cause Bodily Harm.
Sandy and Chartrand also face charges for Fail to Comply Condition of Recognizance by Judge/Justice.
All three suspects were detained in custody.
