Two drivers impaired by cannabis and two others impaired by alcohol were arrested during the RoadWatch program designed to target impaired drivers.
Winnipeg Police ran the program in connection with Manitoba Public Insurance from 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 20, 2018, until Sunday, October 21 at 4:00 am
Police say that a total of 565 vehicles were stopped during the operation and 16 Provincial Offence Act tickets were issued.
Two people were given field sobriety tests with one person passing and the other failing.
Police say that during the same time that the program was running two other impaired drivers were arrested by general patrol officers. Both arrests were because of impairment due to alcohol and both were related to collisions.
