The federal and provincial governments are investing up to $100 million each plus $115.9 million from the city for road repairs in Winnipeg.
The funding was announced by St. Boniface-St. Vital MP Dan Vandal, Jeff Wharton, Minister of Municipal Relation and Winnipeg Mayor Brian Bowman.
49 segments of roadways across the city will be rebuilt and rehabilitated. The funding will also be used to repair sidewalks and drainage improvements.
“I’m very pleased that federal funding is helping make these important road improvements across Winnipeg possible, which will make getting around the city safer and easier for residents and businesses alike for years to come,” said Vandal.
