Police bust suspect in Corydon Avenue road rage assault

A 49-year-old male is recovering from significant injuries after he was attacked Saturday evening, October 13, 2018, on Corydon Avenue.

Police say that they got reports from several witnesses that the victim had been attacked during a road rage incident.

The suspect had been driving behind the victim on Corydon Avenue when he became upset. The suspect got out of his vehicle and attacked the victim then took off before police arrived.

The victim was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Investigators identified the suspect and placed him under arrest on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, after conducting a traffic stop on Corydon Avenue

Devon Anthony Naylor, 22-year-old from Winnipeg, is facing charges for his alleged involvement of:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Mischief Under $5,000/Obstruct in Enjoyment
  • Drive without a licence or with an invalid licence (Highway Traffic Act)

He was detained in custody.
