Canada Day weekend celebrations will see a number of roads closed beginning Friday, June 29, 2018.
Ellen Street between Bannatyne Avenue and McDermot Avenue and Bannatyne Avenue between Ellen Street and Dagmar Street will be closed to traffic between 1:30 am and 8:30 pm on Friday for a summer celebration put on by Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba.
Also on Friday King Street from Dufferin Avenue to Jarvis Avenue will be closed between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm for the Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre annual general meeting and community celebration.
The Fast and Furious Feast will be taking place on Friday and Albert Street from Bannatyne Avenue to Notre Dame Avenue will be closed to traffic. The intersection at Albert and McDermot will remain open. The closure will be from 9:00 am June 29 until 1:30 am June 30.
The annual Osborne Street Festival gets underway on Saturday, June 30 and continues until the early morning hours of July 2, 2018. Osborne Street will be closed in both directions between River Avenue to McMillian Avenue beginning at 9:00 am Saturday.
