Woman attacked, sexually assaulted on river walkway

Winnipeg Police Sex Crimes Unit is investigating after an 18-year-old female was seriously sexually assaulted.

Police say that on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at about 5:45 pm the woman was walking on the river walkway near the steps that lead up to Main Street and east of Bonnycastle Park when she was grabbed by two men. The men pushed her and grabbed her backpack and assaulted her before seriously sexually assaulting her.

One of the suspects is described as in his 30s, with dark skin, standing about 5’10” tall. He had short brown hair and a beard. The other suspect is thought to be in his 20s, light skin with dirty blonde hair.
