Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to a late morning fire on Saturday, November 16, 2019, in River Heights.
Crews say the blaze was contained to a garage in the 400 block of Cambridge Street between Grosvenor Avenue and McMillian Avenue. When they arrived they encountered heavy smoke.
Residents were able to evacuate the home on the property prior to crews arriving.
It took firefighters about 20 minuted to get the fire under control
There were no reports of injury.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
