Two men have been arrested for a series of River Heights break-ins dating back to mid-August of this year.
Police say that they caught the suspects red-handed on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, attempting to steal a package that had been delivered to a Wilton Avenue home.
Jacob Alexander Barsalou, 23 and Nathaniel Leigh Chepesky, 25 are allegedly responsible for 12 break-ins and thefts. Police say the pair stole mail and packages delivered to residences in the area and broke into several garages, construction sites and storage sheds.
The pair attempted to sell some of the stolen property on December 14, 2018, but police were contacted and they were able to match serial numbers from the stolen goods.
Both men face charges for their alleged involvement including Possession of a Weapon, Theft under $5,000 and 12 counts of Possess Property Obtained by Crime.
They were detained in custody.
