Winnipeg Fire crews were called to an early morning fire in the Algonquin Park area of the city Monday morning, September 9, 2019.
When crews arrived at the fire on Uxbridge Road South around 1:45 am they found a two-storey home well-involved. Flames and heavy smoke were shooting out of the attached garage.
A defensive attack was launched until the blaze could be knocked down to a point that firefighters could enter the structure. The fire was declared under control around 2:30 am.
Three people who had been inside the home were able to get out before emergency crews arrived. All three were treated on
The cause of the fire is under investigation but it is not believed to be suspicious.
