Premier Brian Pallister announced on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, that front-line workers will soon be able to apply for a one-time “risk payment”.
Manitoba was the first province to partner with the federal government to provide the payment. Canada will pay three-quarters while Manitoba will contribute one-quarter.
How much each worker who applies will receive or who is eligible has yet to be released. The premier said that those details are still to come.
