Restaurants fined for breaching public health orders

Manitoba Public Health issued fines to two Winnipeg businesses on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, for breaching the current public health orders surrounding COVID-19

The Pony Corral on Pembina Highway and Arabesque Hookah Cafe & Lounge on Corydon Avenue were both cited for Failure to comply with the special measures prescribed in the Order issued by Chief Public Health Officer.

Both businesses received a ticket in the amount of $2,542.

Since the beginning of May, a total of eight Manitoba businesses have been fined for ignoring some of the public health orders.

All of the infractions came after the start of the first phase of reopening on May 4, 2020.
