Island Lake RCMP are investigating a home invasion that involved an assault on a 29-year-old female.

Police say that in the early morning hours of October 5, 2021, three adult females armed with weapons forced their way into the home in Red Sucker Lake. They then assaulted the 29-year-old resident causing serious injuries.

RCMP say the victim was taken to the nursing station but was then transported to Winnipeg for further treatment.

Kyra Knott, 27, Nicole Knott, 37, and Rosanda Knott, 19, of Red Sucker Lake, were all arrested and have been charged for their alleged involvement with Aggravated Assault, Assault while Choking, Assault with a Weapon, Breaking and Entering, Forcible Confinement.

All three accused were detained in custody.
