We will remember them
Remembrance Day services were well attended with thousands of Manitobans honouring our veterans.
RBC Convention Centre was once again home to the largest event with more than 4500 people in attendance. Services at Minto and McGregor Armouries, HMCS Chippawa, Vimy Ridge Park and Valour Road Commemorative Plaza were also well attended.
Services were also conducted outside the city at legions, cenotaphs and personal care homes.
In St. Norbert the personal care home held a ceremony for the 100 residents and staff.
Former Regimental Sergeant Major Hugh O’Donnell of the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada and his son Willam, a member of the Navy League at HMCS Chippawa led the service.
