RCMP are investigating a vehicle fire that claimed the life of the driver.
On August 5, 2021, police were contacted about a vehicle that was on fire and possibly had someone inside. When officers arrived on North School Road in Oakville, Manitoba they located the severely burned vehicle and found the remains of a person in the driver’s seat.
Police believe the vehicle was travelling southbound on North School Road when it entered the ditch the vehicle then came back onto the roadway before stopping. At that point the vehicle ignighted with flames coming from the engine compartment.
Police say that they do not think the incident is criminal in nature.
RCMP continue to investigate.
