    Remains found in Brady Road Landfill identified

    Winnipeg Police confirmed on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, that the remains found on June 14 in the Brady Road Resource Management Facility have been positively identified.

    Investigators confirmed that the remains belong to 24-year-old Rebecca Contois. Partial remains of Contois were initially found on May 16, 2022, on Edison Avenue. Police quickly believed that her other remains could be at the Brady Road facility.

    Jeremy Anthony Micheal Skibicki has been arrested and charged for his alleged involvement with First Degree Murder.

    Police say that Rebecca’s family has been notified and members of the Homicide Unit are continuing to investigate her murder.
