Winnipeg Police are investigating two different stabbing incidents that happened less than an hour apart Sunday night, November 12, 2017
The first happened just before 10:00 pm, a 16-year-old male was walking near Ellice Avenue and McMicken Street when he was approached by a group of people and stabbed. The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition.
Fifty minutes later a second incident occurred this time near Graham Avenue and Edmonton Street. A 19-year-old male was stabbed. He had non-life-threatening injuries and was treated on scene.
Investigators believe that the two incidents may be related but say at this point they cannot confirm if that is the case.
The Major Crimes Unit is leading the investigation.
