RCMP executed a search warrant on a Winnipeg home on Friday, July 16, 2021, as part of an investigation by Portage la Prairie RCMP into drug trafficking.
Police say that the search uncovered just over a kilogram of Methamphetamine, about one kilogram of illicit Cannabis and a small quantity of Crack Cocaine.
43-year-old Nelson Berard from Portage la Prairie and 31-year-old Ashley Asham from Winnipeg were charge for their alleged involvement with Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Both accused were released on conditions and are scheduled to appear in court in September.
