Manitoba RCMP have taken nearly 60 kilograms of illegal cannabis off the streets after their roving traffic unit stopped a vehicle east of Brandon.
Police say that just after 4:30 pm on Friday, June 14, 2019, officers conducted a traffic stop which resulted in a search of the vehicle. During the search, police found several garbage bags filled with cannabis.
Police arrested two Ontario men, both from Windsor, and charged them with Possession for the Purpose of Distributing, Possession of Illicit Cannabis, Possession of over 30 grams, and Possession of Unstamped Cannabis.
Both suspects were released on a promise to appear in court in Brandon on August 8, 2019.
