RCMP in Dauphin are looking for an escaped prisoner who was able to get away from corrections officers while he was seeking medical treatment at Dauphin Hospital.
Police say it happened around 11:40 pm on Wednesday, August 14, 2019.
34-year-old Dustin Joseph Racette made his escape after assaulting guards who were escorting him. A search of the area did not turn up anything and police say it ispossible someone may have been in a waiting vehicle for the escapee.
Racette is considered dangerous and police say not to approach him if you spot him.
