RCMP continue to search for alleged murder suspects in Northern Manitoba

RCMP are continuing to search for alleged murder suspects Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmeglsky.

On Sunday July 28, 2019 police received a report that the pair had been spotted in York Landing is about 204 kilometres southwest of Gilliam, Manitoba.

RCMP immediately responded to the sighting with multiple resources including their Emergency Response Team, Police Dogs, Containment Team officers, Air Services and Major Crimes services.

Police searched in and around York Landing overnight and will continue to comb the area today, July 29, 2019. An aircraft from the Royal Canadian Air Force will be assisting with the search during the day.

Residents of York Landing were asked by police to remain indoors with their doors locked and to report anything suspicious.

The investigation continues.
