The third threat on social media also came from a male student at a school in Beausejour. Police say that they found out about the threat around 10:20 pm. The accused had threatened students at École Edward Schreyer School.
Investigators say that the male suspects range in age from 13 to 17.
The RCMP say that they take online threats seriously and they are asking parents to remind their children about responsibility online, especially on social media.
“Talk to you children about what they are doing and saying online. Remind them that their actions on social media can have serious consequences and can lead to criminal charges,” said Corporal Julie Courchaine of the Manitoba RCMP. “If your children see something concerning online, ensure they know to immediately alert you, to contact police, or notify a teacher.”
The investigations continue.
